Email Accounts

Every web services plan provides a certain number of email addresses.  There are a number of terms and conditions attached to the use of these email accounts listed below.

Email account limits

Email accounts may be used as webmail accounts, or POP3 accounts at the users discretion.  In either case the maximum storage allowed is 1GB for each email account.  Storage limits may not be shared between accounts.

Webmail access is provided via Horde, a webmail program.  Horde includes features like address books, calendars, notepad, filtering options, custom folders, search functions, ability to retrieve mail from other mailboxes and custom signatures.  Webmail can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection, if not blocked by a firewall.

POP3 access is available for email programs on the user's computer like Thunderbird (recommended by CrystalClearWeb.net) or Outlook (definitely not recommended by CrystalClearWeb.net).  You will only have access to new mail when you are connected to the internet, but have the option of viewing any emails you have previously retrieved from your account with your email program.  With this option the user will have to set up their own protocol for sending emails according to the information provided to them by their ISP.

Each user will have to decide for themselves which is the best option to use.

Accounts must be set up by CrystalClearWeb.net

Due to the way the hosting account is configured, creating or deleting email accounts must be done by CrystalClearWeb.net.  Once an email account is created, the user of that account may change their own password.

It is not required that Clients use the email accounts available through CrystalClearWeb.net on Domains owned by the Client, but it will be the responsibility of the Client to work with their Domain Name provider to properly configure their account to use another email service.

No credit will be given by CrystalClearWeb.net for unused email accounts.

CrystalClearWeb.net will set up any requested email accounts, up to the maximum number allowed for the plan selected, at the time the website is created.  After initial creation of the accounts, there are limits on how many accounts can be created or deleted each month without an additional service charge.  Information on these limits will be given to serious inquiries.
